In 2021 I took part in a certain game jam and our team did not finish. I was really gutted, because all my friends and I worked really hard to finish.
This year I find that said game jam, which is starting today, is "neutral" towards blockchain technology, and will potentially garner support from sponsors that use said technology. This came after massive amounts of concern and outcry from game jammers. That, I can't get behind, in large part due to the grifting, art and IP theft, and environmental concerns that are too large to outweigh. The amount of backpedalling on the part of the organisers after that huge amount of outrage also left a bad taste in the mouth. As such, several friends and I have disavowed ourselves from said game jam.
These are the tracks from *last year's* iteration of said game jam. Each one was blitzed in under an hour, with some of them taking mere minutes. We had intended to make a collect-and-craft type of game where the player took control of a wizard in a tower, who would travel via portal to different locations and find all manner of treasures to combine together via alchemy. The game, the channel in which it was worked on, and the assets mostly do not survive (or at least have been taken offline). However, the tracks are here for your listening pleasure.
