This is a small collection of carols I improvised on the piano. I wanted to do something to celebrate my first Christmas since I moved house.
This album originates in my teens, where during the last couple years of my mother's life, when Advent and Christmastide came, I serenaded her with carols. It was truly magical, despite everything I endured in that home growing up: these carols were born from a fervent hope and belief in the Christmas message.
At the best of times, I am not able to go wassailing -- I don't have friends to do this with. Today, I am playing carols to the void, whereas once I knew I had an audience member present. I hope they reach some ears and some hearts.
